As I prepare to post Chapter 5 of the book, The Path: A Journey Into the Light, The Commitment, I felt it would be a good time to pause and take a look at what’s been presented so far, to answer the question, “What is this about, really?”, and to take a look at what is coming next.
First, a bit of history.
When I originally wrote this guidebook, I was working seven days a week, usually 8+ hours a day, as the teacher and leader of The Path. I was also training a select group of allies to become guides, and a group of experienced guides to become teachers. Guiding A Life Through Love was created out of the absolute necessity to take what I had, up until then, ’simply done’ and put it into a written step-by-step format, making it accessible to those who were becoming involved in The Path in a new and different way.
We were all grateful and relieved when I presented the finish copies to everyone. The book was used not only in our training sessions, but also as a reference book when guides and teachers were working with allies. It also became a handbook for allies doing The Path, assisting and supporting them to understand more deeply their journey through the Work.
From the Introduction through Chapter 4, the book has basically been informational. Speaking from our own knowledge and perspectives, Chakra and Monea laid the groundwork for what The Path, guiding, and loving the self was essentially all about. I spoke of my own experience as one who had walked the territory and of my discoveries about it’s meaning and impact. As you will notice by reading the material, it’s very simply stated, both in it’s approach and the manner in which the information is presented. It’s simplicity offers a necessary backdrop to the more complex feelings and emotions that can arise from taking a closer look at ourselves. Especially, with the intention of making life altering changes, both in what we believe and in how we walk our lives.
Chapter 5 will introduce some new elements of The Path, as well as a shift from ‘listening’ to actively ‘participating’ in one’s own healing. There are three phases to this next level of The Path. The first two, which are covered in the book, are Spiritual Newborns and Spiritual Warriors — both aptly named for what they entail! Also, in Spiritual Warriors, allies are taken through what is called The Process, the vehicle that moves you through the different stages of Warriors. Thus begins the ‘working’ phase of The Path; I felt it important to clearly make that distinction. From this point on, you’ll be presented with what every ally of the Work has gone through in their desire to learn more about love and loving themselves.
If you find yourself drawn to this Work beyond reading about it, it’s important to know that it is a very powerful vehicle for self-change. In other words, it works! I would really like to hear from anyone considering doing the Work, either alone, with another person, or with a group. Although in the past, I have had a total ‘hands on’ involvement with people doing The Path, I do believe it is possible now for people to do the Work without such close supervision. It’s an amazing and unforgettable experience to both undergo and to witness.
Times have changed since The Path began, and people have grown more aware of themselves and their own personal process. I also intend to make the remaining chapters of the book as comprehensive as possible, as well as offering additional information and guidance in my accompanying posts. In case you would like to contact me personally, I’m going to post my email address in the blog sidebar.
I’m working on Chapter 5 and should have it posted by tomorrow evening.
I’d like to leave you with a song that was very inspirational for me and made me realize I was not alone in my search for the truth…listen and enjoy!

I am grateful and relieved to have discovered another venue for sharing The Path with other human beings. It’s an honor, as well, to have been chosen to do it.
That’s a very good idea, printing them out and reading them. I like the fact that people have options open to them as far as when and how they choose to read, ponder and do the Work.
Thank you, Mon, for your continual interest and support in my endeavors. You are such a pleasure to know…
